2017 Toronto International Film Festival, Thursday, September 7, 2017, to Sunday, September 17, 2017, Road closures

The 42nd annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) will be taking place at various locations throughout the downtown core from Thursday, September 7, 2017, to Sunday, September 17, 2017.

The festival will include the following theatres: Bell TIFF Lightbox, Roy Thomson Hall, Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres, Princess of Wales, Ryerson, the AGO, Cinesphere, Scotiabank and Glenn Gould Studios.

There will also be a complete road closure associated with this event for a “Festival Street.” The Street Festival will operate from Thursday, September 7, 2017, through Monday, September 11, 2017, from 10 a.m. until midnight each day.

Road closures will start:

– from Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 10 a.m., to Monday, September 11, 2017, at 6 a.m., on King Street West, from Peter Street to University Avenue

There will be considerable disruption to traffic in the area as a result of this road closure and the many events taking place throughout the downtown core. Motorists are advised to consider avoiding the area and to consider the road closure when planning their travels.
