The Eleventh Anniversary of Donna Magazine is Today

I’ve been funding this magazine since October 1, 2007, out of my own pocket. I am currently in a state of prayer that funding will come from the Canada Periodical Fund (CPF), and have already found out that I was not funded for the Publishing Organizations: Operations grant with the Ontario Arts Council (OAC). I think the main problem really was that the OAC no longer has a specific Magazine Fund. This particular fund was stopped after 2016 in terms of taking applicants. I was still funding my magazine out of pocket in that year, and the year after, and actually since October of 2007.

Well, although my prayers were not answered in terms of the grant, even the New York Times states that funding tends to go to white people in America more than people of colour, there are many far more important prayers of mine which have been answered. My friends and my family know.

The song in the video above is from a Canadian band called Temperance that I have known about since the early nineties. The song, “Hands of Time,” is actually based on a Leonard Cohen song. I do listen to Temperance and in particular this song on my daily walks, regardless of the weather.

Another song that has aided my health is from an American singer named Ce Ce Peniston. She does a rather popular song called “Finally.” However, I would like to share with all of you, my wonderful viewers, how absolutely fantastic the Roman Hunter mix of “Finally” is, and you will like it if you like dance music.

Thank you to all of you who read Donna Magazine.

Manish’s Astrology Report or the Astrology Report will appear on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
