Dear Friends,

Here’s an opportunity for you to make a difference this holiday season
And to act on your good will and holiday spirit
Picture this – over 7000 marginalized children and youth trying to contribute meaningfully to their community, trying to build skills and reach their
Potential, but do not have the means, the creative tools, and the arts, due to social barriers
You can be part of the solution; your support will engage young people living in poverty in free meaningful arts educational programs that develop skills and provide opportunities

Highlighting the holidays this year will be your gift; a gift that will be sustained well beyond the holiday season
One that may even transform a life as well as a community
Learning, as you know, is essential to a child’s life and development; the arts enable learners to create and embody knowledge that can lead to social change; just for a moment
Imagine our world without creativity, without imagination, without innovation, we
Don’t think it’s a world we want to live in; accessibility to arts education is a problem; through our grassroots work which impacts young populations in the streets, in schools, and community venues, we see what can be
Achieved through participation in the arts; on behalf of all the young people that
You will change through your support, AFCY wishes you warm, spirited holidays
Signed artfully yours,

Julie Frost
