One of my favorite fruits is the Strawberry, it’s lush red colour and sweet juices tantalize my taste buds. Every year I anticipate Strawberry picking season, it has been a tradition in my family ever since I was a young child. I can vividly remember sitting in the Strawberry fields, plucking Strawberries and popping them into my mouth until my face was stained with the red juices of the Strawberry.
My family continues this tradition to this day. We all head out to the countryside with baskets in tow to collect the delicious fruits, I still find myself popping a Strawberry in my mouth and enjoying the fruits of my labour. As the hot sun beats down on my back, only the best Strawberries enter my basket.
By the end of the day, my basket is overflowing with large, glistening Strawberries that emit a wonderful smell as we travel back home. When we arrive I can only think of the endless possibilities we can make with these wonderful little fruits, Strawberry Shortcake, Strawberries with Vanilla Ice Cream, Strawberry Smoothies and so much more. When the Strawberries have gone, I begin to await their arrival and reminisce about my lifelong love for Strawberries.
