Calling All Volunteers!! Mural Project‏

Hello Volunteers,
BIG NEWS! Arts for Children and Youth (AFCY) is taking on a HUGE mural project this month and we need many artistic hands on deck!
The Details:
The StART Mural Project is in partnership with StART (StreetARToronto) and is headed by lead artist Emilia Jajus, along with AFCY arts assistants.
The project is located on a 370 ft long retaining wall located in the Jamestown community at Belfield Rd and Kipling Ave.  Artists and volunteers will be painting this wall for the month of August, creating a mural that covers it end to end.  The wall is on the west side of Kipling, facing east and runs alongside the westside of the pedestrian walkway.
We have a full team that is currently collaborating and is set to start paint next week.  Unfortunately we will lose most of these painters on August 16th so WE NEED YOU to jump in starting the week of August 19th to complete the mural with Emilia and her assistants. The project is scheduled to end on Thursday August 29th.

The hours of operation will be from 8:30am to 3:30pm but we do not need you to commit to the entire two weeks or to full days.  Just get in touch with your availability and we can schedule you in for times that work for you.

Please let me know asap if you are interested in getting involved.  We’d love to have you be a part of this fantastic project!
Thank you for all of your hard work and passion for AFCY. We appreciate you!
Much thanks,
Brittany Turner
