Hello everyone! The Black Students’ Association at UofT is looking for some dedicated students to join the BSA’s Annual High School Conference Volunteer Team!

ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL CONFERENCE:
Annually, the Black Students’ Association hosts a high school conference with a mandate to motivate and inspire black high school students in Toronto to envision post-secondary education as a possibility. This year, as we remain dedicated to our cause, we are happy to announce that the 2017 conference theme is “Know Yourself”!

WHEN: Tuesday May 2nd 2017
TIME: 9am – 2pm
WHERE: Ontario Institute for Studies in Education ( 252 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1V6)

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
We’re seeking 30 volunteers to lead workshops, 15 volunteers to lead student groups, and 5 volunteers for event support. This is your chance to participate in BSA’s most important event of the year, and an opportunity to gain some skills in workshop leading!

JOIN THE BSA EXEC! ELECTIONS FOR THE 2017-2018 EXECUTIVE ARE HERE!
Nominations for ALL POSITIONS are underway, please complete the nomination package by April 20th, 2017 to ensure your candidacy.

As you know, the BSA has had a wonderful year and we want to continue in this light for the upcoming 2017/2018 school year!

We are looking for strong, dedicated students to help sustain the BSA legacy. A word of advice: The Black Students’ Association is a serious commitment and is comprised of hard-working, passionate individuals that do a lot of great work on the U of T campus. Those simply utilizing the BSA for personal gain (i.e. building your resume) should NOT apply. While the BSA undoubtedly provides a number of great opportunities, it is a serious responsibility and should be treated as such.

IMPORTANT: The elections process is detailed in the attached file. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ENTIRE NOMINATION FORM & CANDIDATE PARAGRAPH BEFORE THE FINAL DATE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
