Homicide #9/1983, Graham Hugh Pearce, 36, Homicide cold case resolved

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of a resolution of the investigation into Homicide #9/1983.
On Sunday, March 20, 1983, at 12:40 p.m., officers responded to a call at an apartment within 35 High Park Avenue.
Officers arrived to find the lifeless body of a man. He was later identified at Graham Hugh Pearce, 36, of Toronto.
A post-mortem examination was conducted and the cause of death was exsanguination, the result of a stab wound.
Investigators from Homicide – Cold Case section reviewed the case and, as a result, a Person of Interest was identified. It was determined that the Person of Interest had died in 2001.
Had this Person of Interest been alive today, he would have been arrested and charged with the murder. As this person is now deceased, the Toronto Police Service will not identify him.
This cold case is now considered resolved.
