People who make a difference

In Business, Writing (all kinds) on November 24, 2016 at 3:00 AM

There are so many people who make a difference on your journey through life. My parents and siblings have always been there for me, cheering me on and believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Sometimes when my self-esteem was so low, I needed extra support.

That’s where Daria Romaniello came in. I was working at a clothing boutique on Queen Street W. called Sünde and not involved in the communications work I wanted to be in. However, I needed the money. Daria came into the store one day and asked me what I was doing there. She could tell right away I was meant to be doing other things – following my passion and living my dreams.

Well, it had always been a dream of mine to write for the Toronto Star – I’ve done that since receiving support from Daria and many other wonderful people. She was part of team of dream-believers, and there are many more wonderful things I’ve done that make me proud.

I teach at the college and university level in communications, I used to be the Associate Editor of Amöi Magazine, I’m getting along better with my family and I have a wonderful home to live in with family and friends as neighbours. Daria was a part of making my dreams a reality. To find out more about all the interesting and exciting things I’m up to, please visit my website at: http://www.donnakakonge.com. My website is also another thing Daria encouraged me to do.

I’m happy, healthy and wiser because of knowing Daria. Let her be part of your dream team on the path to your success.
