Writing through Loss” Mon. evenings begins Feb. 1‏ – School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto

Dear Friends,

I will be teaching an eight-week course “Writing through Loss” at U of T’s School of Continuing Studies (SCS) Creative Writing program beginning on Monday, February 1.

Here’s the course description:
“The loss of a loved one, a relationship or a home is often a catalyst for writing. This class – a combination of writing exercises, workshops and discussion – will help you explore how writing can help you work through a sense of loss. Discover writing practices that help you work with disjuncture and memory to create beauty and possibility in language.”

The course is open to experienced writers and beginners and will include poetry and prose. Mondays from 6:30 to 9 pm. For further info and to register: http://learn.utoronto.ca/interactive-course-search#/profile/3122

I understand that the SCS waives the tuition for recent U of T graduates and that there are bursaries available.

Perhaps you or someone you know would be interested in taking this course. Please help to spread the word. Feel free to forward this email.

Thank you,
Sheila
