QUÉBEC, le 15 avril 2015 /CNW Telbec/ – AM Total Investissements (SENC) (« AM Total ») annonce l’acquisition de 13 953 488 actions ordinaires de Corporation Nuvolt Inc. (« Nuvolt »), suite à l’exercice de 13 953 488 bons de souscription, représentant 10,27% des 135 807 976 actions ordinaires de Nuvolt émises et en circulation, en tenant compte de l’exercice d’autres bons de souscription.

À la conclusion de l’exercice des bons de souscription, AM Total détient 62 002 651 actions ordinaires de Nuvolt représentant 45,65% des actions ordinaires de Nuvolt émises et en circulation. AM Total détient également 500 001 bons de souscription de Nuvolt additionnels, qui, si exercés en entier, lui donneraient le contrôle sur un total de 62 502 652 actions ordinaires de Nuvolt, représentant 45,85% des 136 307 977 actions de Nuvolt qui seraient émises et en circulation, calculé sur une base partiellement diluée.

Magna Announces Agreement to Sell Interiors Operations

AURORA, ON, April 16, 2015 /CNW/ – Magna International Inc. (TSX: MG, NYSE: MGA) today announced that it has signed an agreement to sell substantially all of its interiors operations to Grupo Antolin, a leading global supplier of automotive interior systems.  The purchase price for the operations, excluding certain assets, is approximately$525 million, subject to customary closing adjustments for the value of net working capital and net debt at closing.

The transaction includes 36 manufacturing operations and approximately 12,000 employees located in Europe, North America and Asia.  Full year 2014 total sales for the operations included in the agreement were approximately $2.4 billion.  Magna’s seating business is not included in this transaction. CALGARY, April 17, 2015 /CNW/ – Strategic Group is pleased to announce the merger of its subsidiary, Shift Networks with Broad-Connect Telecom Inc. effective April 15, 2015. Shift Networks provides Voice over IP (VoIP) phone services to small and medium businesses across Canada.

Shift Networks engineered and commercialized a national platform to provide a range of unified communications (UC) and telephony solutions. Shift’s merger with Broad-Connect – an IP telephony company with offices across Canada – will allow the consolidated customer base to benefit from an even broader telephony solution and service infrastructure on a full national platform with significant critical mass. Poydras Gaming Finance Corp. Acquires Additional 371 Machines

Continues roll-out of Tonkawa placement agreement


MILL VALLEY, CA, April 17, 2015 /CNW/ – POYDRAS GAMING FINANCE CORP. (TSX-V: PYD) (“Poydras” or the “Company”) has acquired an additional 371 gaming (slot) machines effective April 15, 2015 in conjunction with its long-term placement agreement with the Tonkawa Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma. Under the terms of the agreement, Poydras and the Integrity Companies will provide 600 Class III gaming machines under a 6-year and 11-month contract which is expected to generate approximately $6 million in annual revenue for Poydras.  This most recent tranche of 371 machines includes 159 machines which are already installed and revenue-producing, as well as 212 machines that have been or will be delivered in the next 30-45 days.  Including the previously announced 105 machines initially acquired as of March 1, 2015, Poydras has now acquired 476 machines under the Tonkawaplacement agreement. Mazen Haddad acquires additional shares of Knowlton Capital

The American League East Champion Toronto Blue Jays are hosting the American League West Champion Texas Rangers at the Rogers Centre on Wednesday, October 14, 2015.

It is anticipated nearly 50,000 people will attend the game. Road closures will be in effect at the end of the game to assist with the safe exit of pedestrians and motorists leaving the area.

Due to these road restrictions and closures, traffic disruptions will occur within the downtown core.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public to:

– make use of alternate routes to your destination

– utilize public transit

– car-pool where possible

– consider avoiding the area of the Rogers Centre, if not attending the game

– extend courtesy to all while travelling

– give yourself lots of extra time

Westbound Gardiner Expressway to fully reopen after completion of construction work

TORONTO, April 19, 2015 /CNW/ – The Gardiner Expressway work between Exhibition Place and Grand Magazine Street in Toronto has been completed sooner than expected, which has resulted in the reinstatement of the three westbound lanes of traffic.

In addition, it is expected that the third eastbound lane of the roadway will be reopened within the next week.

The City of Toronto extends its thanks to motorists for their patience as this part of the construction work is completed.

As a result of that work coming to an end, the City of Toronto has reinstituted the weekday closure of the ramp from westbound Lake Shore Boulevard to the Gardiner Expressway at Jameson Avenue. The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an ongoing violent Sexual Assault investigation.

On Saturday, October 10, 2015, at approximately 3 a.m., a 28-year-old woman exited a northbound TTC bus in the Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue East area.

It is reported that:

– she was followed off the bus by an unknown man

– he approached her from behind

– he sexually assaulted her

– he initiated a brutal attack on the woman

– she was punched repeatedly about the head

– a violent struggle ensued

– he then fled in a northerly direction

He is described as medium complexion, 5’9”-5’11”, skinny build, 25-35, short black hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a tan waist-length jacket.

Treatment of Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) with Pembrolizumab Presented at AACR Annual Meeting and Published in the New England Journal of Medicine

KIRKLAND, QC, April 19, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ – Merck (NYSE: MRK), known as MSD outside the United States andCanada, today announced new data from KEYNOTE-001, a Phase 1b study evaluating pembrolizumab, the company’s investigational anti-PD-1 therapy, in naïve and previously-treated patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In a new analysis of 313 patients from a validation data set for tumour PD-L1 expression, overall-response rate (ORR) was 45.4 percent (95% CI, 33.5-57.3) in patients with greater than or equal to (≥) 50 percent of tumour cells positive for PD-L1 expression (n=73). In the other PD-L1 subgroups, ORR was 16.5 percent (95% CI, 9.9-25.1) in patients with 1-49 percent tumour cells positive (n=103) and 10.7 percent (95% CI, 2.3-28.2) in patients with less than1 percent tumour cells positive (n=28) for PD-L1 expression. In the total study population, ORR was 19.4 percent (95% CI, 16.0-23.2) (n=495), which was consistent with data previously presented from this study. These data from KEYNOTE-001 will be presented today by Dr. Edward Garon, Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of California, Los Angeles at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting (abstract #CT104), were part of the AACR press program, and were also published today in the New England Journal of Medicine. The early findings presented showed an overall response rate (confirmed and unconfirmed) of 28 percent with pembrolizumab in patients with tumours that expressed PD-L1. Additionally, 48 percent of patients had stable disease, resulting in a disease control rate of 76 percent. Tahltan Nation accepts historic Co-Management Agreement with Red Chris mine

Province Undertakes First-Ever Strategy on
Arts and Culture in Ontario

Toronto, October 1, 2015 – The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport has launched a province-wide consultation to develop the first Culture Strategy for Ontario.

From October through December, people in Ontario can participate in the consultation in various ways:

  • At town hall sessions in 11 communities (listed below) from October 13 to December 3, 2015.
  • By sharing ideas via the Culture Talks website or on Twitter using #ONCulture.
  • By responding to a discussion paper by December 7, 2015 (further details on how to submit comments on the discussion paper are posted on the government’s onlineEnvironmental Registry)

Consultations, which will include conversations with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, will run until December 7, 2015.

VANCOUVER, April 8, 2015 /CNW/ – Gold Mountain Mining Corporation (the “Company” or “Gold Mountain”) has completed mining and third-party processing of material from the 2014 open-pit bulk-sample test on its 100% owned Elk Gold property, located near Merritt, British Columbia.

The 2014 bulk-sample mining was completed by the end of September, with mineralized rock shipped to a nearby gold mine for processing, which was completed in November. The final head-grade assays were settled in December, with final payments being received in January, 2015.
