EDMONTON, Dec. 30, 2011, /CNW/ – Winnipeg resident Doris Fay is singing B-I-N-G-O after winning the $15,000 grand prize vacation getaway through IGA’s newest BINGO promotion.
Representatives from IGA and Sobeys Inc. presented the prize to Doris Fay today at a celebration at Hosegood’s IGA, 650 Elizabeth Road in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The IGA BINGO promotion ran at all prairie IGA locations from September 30 until November 10, 2011. Along with the $15,000 vacation getaway, there were more than $900,000 in prizes and discounts available to be won, with one in three tickets winning instantly.
“Our customers loved the BINGO promotion,” said Garth Hosegood, owner of Hosegood’s IGA. “And, the grand prize couldn’t have been won by a nicer person. Doris is one of our most loyal customers, visiting the store almost every day.”
All of those visits helped Doris find the one out of 1,745,000 game tickets that contained the rare winning BINGO marker to win the trip of a lifetime.
For Doris, this prize is all about sharing it with the ones she loves. She plans to take her entire family – four children all with spouses – on a much-deserved family holiday.
