Province Helping to Get Kids Active and More Involved in the People’s Games
Ontario is launching Pan Am/Parapan Am Kids to build excitement for the Games and inspire young people to lead healthy and active lives.
Pan Am/Parapan Am Kids, delivered in partnership with the 2015 Pan /Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015), is available through the province’s schools, camps and after-school programs. It will provide opportunities for kids to participate in a variety of Games-related sports and parasports activities, increase cultural understanding of Pan American countries and encourage community celebrations leading up to the 2015 Games. Activities will begin at select after-school programs during the holidays and ramp up in schools in spring 2014, building excitement all the way to summer 2015. Pan Am/Parapan Am Kids includes four complementary programs:
Encouraging kids to be active and involved in the excitement of the Pan Am/Parapan Am Games is part of the Ontario government’s plan to invest in people, build modern infrastructure and support a dynamic and innovative business climate.
