Thousands of Servings of Pasta Donated
to North York Harvest Food Bank
June 12, 2012 – The North York Harvest Food Bank recently received a donation of 14,570 portions of Catelli® pasta as part of a campaign called Help us Feed the Hope. The delivery is only a small taste of the donations that will be made to the North York Harvest Food Bank and other food banks throughout Ontario and across Canada.
For every box of pasta purchased until the end of June, Catelli® pasta will donate a serving of pasta to Toronto food banks in support of families in need. The goal is to set a record donation of 211,000 servings of pasta to Ontario food banks, and a total of one million servings of pasta across Canada.
What’s more, Canada’s largest pasta manufacturer is taking the campaign one step further with the launch of a unique cookbook, calledGourmet Family Meals for Under $10. The family-friendly cookbook – available for download free-of-charge on the Catelli® pasta Facebook page – features easy, gourmet pasta recipes from top chefs across the country. For every “share” of the recipes on Facebook, Catelli® pasta will donate an additional serving of pasta to families in need.
To participate in the Help Us Feed the Hope campaign, visit www.facebook.com/catelli or purchase Catelli® pasta at Sobeys and Foodland stores from now until the end of June.
